PhD Programmes

The PhD (Dottorato di Ricerca) represents the third cycle of higher education within the Italian academic system and is designed to provide the advanced skills required to undertake high-level research at universities, public institutions and private organizations.

Admission to PhD programmes is granted through a competitive selection process based on examinations.

Postgraduate Specialization Schools

Postgraduate Specialization Schools offer advanced training programmes leading to a professional specialization diploma. These are official university programmes with mandatory attendance, typically lasting at least two years. Students who successfully complete the final examination are awarded the diploma of specialist.

Career Guidance and Job Placement

The Career Guidance and Job Placement Service promotes and supports career orientation services for graduates.
OJP provides students and graduates with information and training aimed at developing their professional profile and planning their career paths.

State Professional Qualification Examinations

The State Professional Qualification Examinations are held each year in two sessions and begin on the same dates throughout the national territory. They take place at universities designated annually by decree of the Ministry of Education, University and Research.

AlmaLaurea

AlmaLaurea is a database that collects extensive information on graduates from universities that are members of the AlmaLaurea consortium. Its aim is to facilitate graduates’ access to the job market, support companies in recruiting qualified personnel and reduce the time required to match job supply and demand.

Master’s Programmes

Master’s programmes are postgraduate qualifications aimed at advanced academic and professional training. They are offered after the completion of a Bachelor’s degree (First-Level Master’s) or a Master’s degree (Second-Level Master’s).

Postgraduate Administrative Office

The Postgraduate Administrative Office manages all administrative procedures related to the academic careers of students enrolled in postgraduate programmes.

Advanced Training Courses

Advanced training courses (Corsi di perfezionamento) provide opportunities for further academic specialization and discipline-specific professional development.
